The material library is a GLScene component that is used to hold a list of textures (TGLLibMaterial) and can be set at design time. Rather than create a texture specific to a scene object, a texture can be put into the material library and all scene objects can use it. Materials in a material library can also be scaled and offset unlike textures associated with an object only.
